Jim developed a fever at about 3:00 am last night. In addition to more medication, I'm helping him cool off with ice packs, cool cloths, and changing his pillow every 15 minutes or so. I have music playing....his crazy classic rock. I'm proud of him...he's fighting. He's almost completely unresponsive today. He will sometimes shake his head for me when I ask if he is comfortable or in pain. I really think he can still hear things so I keep telling him I love him. Pray for his comfort.

My prayers are with you during these trying days. I'm here for you whenever you need me, even if it's to visit you Elizabeth or give you a breather. Please know that there are many of us who care for the two of you and feel your pain.

Elizabeth, please tell Jim we love him, too, that we hold him in our thoughts always and are asking God to hold him in his arms, take his pain away and give him comfort. You are so strong, Elizabeth but we continue to pray for the strenth and comfort that you need, now, as well. There are no words to tell you how much we wish we could carry you both, even just for a little while, so you could rest. Please reach out to those around you for anything you need. We are all still right here for both of you for as long as you need us.

We are all praying for both you and Jim. So sorry to hear Jim is back in the hospital. Saturday evening, as Jim and I watched the Twins game in his room, he was so ready to go home. Hospitals can be so..... I know Jim is very determined to get back home and you know how determined (stubborn) Jim can be.
I hear from so many of Jim's friends, all of whom are praying for his recovery. But above all he has you. I am in awe of your strength. Please let me know if there is ever anything I can do to lighten your load - even if only for a moment or two. Call me anytime.
